Ferry and Feeder Services Feasibility and Launch

Working with Stanstec and AESA, we carried out a comprehensive feasibility for launching ferry and feeder services in the Black Sea. Work included a detailed assessment of ferry (TIR, railcar and PAX) and container feeder (direct and intra-regional) services, demand and supply, land-based corridors and competition, mode and shipper choice modelling, port and landside infrastructure, and trade and transit procedures. Four services were proposed (RoRo cargo, RoRo trailer, Container SSS, and Rail-Car Ferry) with specifications of ship, rotation and network parameters. Full costing and financial profitability along CBA and economic appraisal were carried out, then followed by an action plan, market sounding and investors' conference,  all culminating in the launch of two new services.
